Trivia--
See if you can name the movie the following quotations come from. Bonus points if you can name the character and/or actor who said each line:
"The thing about a shark is he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes." Jaws
"He ain't in the box because of the joke played on him. He back-sassed a free man. They got their rules. We ain't got nothin' to do with that. Would probably have happened to him sooner or later anyway, a complainer like him. He gotta learn the rules the same as anybody else." ???
"We're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anybody want to see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired." Glengarry Glen Ross
"Oxygen gets you high. In a catastrophic emergency, you're taking giant panicked breaths. Suddenly you become euphoric, docile. You accept your fate. It's all right here. Emergency water landing - 600 miles an hour. Blank faces, calm as Hindu cows." Fight Club, Brad Pitt, Tyler Durden
"Leave the gun. Take the cannolis." The Godfather. |

Greyson, Titanic? Really? You were what, 5 or something when it was released? I was in college and was forced against my will to watch it for a class. I knew I'd hate it. I was right. Cinematography is beautiful, I'll grant that, but everything else about the movie blows.
On the other hand, you like The Pixies? I didn't know 17-year-olds these days had a clue who The Pixies were. Bonus points for that.

I was probably 6 or so when I first saw it. Maybe that's the explanation...brainwashing. It's just a big time part of my childhood and I just identify with it for some reason.
Most 17 year olds definitely don't know who the Pixies are. But then again, most 17 year olds don't listen to MeanDawg, so I guess I have good taste. The height of this generation's musical talent is Lil Wayne and Taylor Swift, so naturally I gravitated elsewhere. |

We're talking about doing more of this when we start recording again. All sorts of media, really... there's lots of room to grow outside of just movies.
(Great taste in movies and music, by the way!) |
