I'm fairly new to the podcasts (quickly trying to catch up), but I'm assuming that there's no real schedule for the podcasts? You just do them whenever you're all together?
(and yes, I'm another Aussie to add to the list of fans) |

Yeah, no real schedule anymore... we used to be every Tuesday or so, but that's before Jay became a father and a slumlord. Now it's whenever he can get one done.
We usually get together every 3 months (or, lately, every six months ) and do 4-5 shows in one drunken night. Then later Jay goes back in, picks whichever shows don't make us sound like complete jobs (you know, just halfway), and then smooths them out by editing out everything Mark says. It's cumbersome.
The name came from Jay... in case you haven't guessed by now, the whole thing is really his baby. The rest of us use it as an excuse to get loaded up and talk about movies, which we'd do anyway, but this time there's microphones.
The dog in the logo is (I think) Jay's parents' dog, a fucking massive beast who could easily eat a 10 year-old boy. He's been using the MeanDawg Productions label on any goofy project he/we get up to for years, at least as far back as 2002 that I can remember. |
